Wow! Not too often you hear about the plans for a new jail! They must be planning a rather large one going by this scene! Great shot and very interesting post!

Irina

I'd prefer large park and garden. But nobody asks my opinion:-(
And thank you for Elvis.
And the scene is so rich.

Hi!
Great shot! The mansion looks so small compared to all those big buildings behind it. Have a great day!

Nice mix of photography and city history, not to mention the added pleasure of hearing Elvis and the most appropriate tune. What a treat! JTM

Great post for the day -- I agree, it's a nice mix of history and photography and Elvis to top it all off! Terrific! Have a great day!

You have to love Elvis!

They tend not to put prisons right in the middle of cities over here, although we do now have one in ours - people were up in arms about it, although it doesn't house dangerous criminals, it's not something people like to live near.

On behalf of the team, thanks for taking part in ABC Wednesday this week! :)

I hope they need some hydraulic hoses during construction. I visited the site yesterday.

Ah Elvis is fantastic. But good grief, aren't there enough prisons in the USA already?

Manang Kim

Great shot and yeah right our tax money goes there ^_^.

I heard crime was down; must be an old building it's replacing.

LOVE Jailhouse Rock.

Tumblewords

I like Elvis far more than jails. Excellent photo!
