The winter holiday season has ended. 2010 is well under way. For North Carolina's school children, today is back to school day. Here we are on Wendover Avenue, waiting patiently between I-40 and Bridford Parkway. Cars are lining up and people are ready to resume their normal schedules and routines. At this intersection, we see four lanes of traffic in each direction with additional turn lanes.
Wendover Avenue is Greensboro's major east-west expressway. Extending eleven miles, Wendover was completed in 1972 after a 15 year effort. If you are interested in learning more about North Carolina's road system, please have a look at Adam Prince's blog about transportation and travels. Oh, and beep beep, move over please, we're trying to get to work!
Many cars, but it all looks so orderly.

I guess the Swedish kids have a better deal, they are not going back to school for another week.

I dunno, but our traffic is horrendous. I thought it would let up after Christmas, but noooooo.
Methinks there are too many winter visitors!
But they are good for the economy.
Have a great week!
