As far as we could tell, this little gas station in UNCG's backyard is without a sign to tell us its name. Likely, it is one of those places that has been in Greensboro for decades. Patrons know its name. The two orange chairs to the right of the fire hydrant look like a cozy place to sit and recount your adventures.
It is hard to believe that year's end is upon us. We hope you've had a good 2009 and that 2010 will be even better. We've gotta run. Time to find photos to close out the year and ring in the new on Greensboro Daily Photo.
To my way of thinking it might be a smidge cold to sit on either of those orange chairs to recount my adventures - even if they be small adventures!
Have a happy and healthy 2010.

Of course we know it's name. Even from way out here in TX, I recognize the little Sprinkle station. Best oil change and service in town!! We used their services for many years before leaving NC. It was neat to see the picture with their colorful chairs!!

yep thats Sprinkle Gas Station ! my dad took his cars there in the 50s and 60s, and I still go there to have oil changed, get air in tires, Its one of the few stations left where the attendant will fill your tank, check the oil, wash windows. They dont take credit cards, so if you visit, please take cash or check. Great guys work there! Sprinkle has another location on East Market street, close to A&T. Thanks for posting this picture. I will make sure the guys see it.

The outdoor car lifts are evidence of Norfolk-Southern Railroad's prohibitively high lease rates for structures within the track's right-of-way.
