After yesterday's gloomy photo, we just had to let the sun shine! This view of Tate Street shows fall's brilliant palette in a bustling area between two college campuses: The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Greensboro College. Here we see, every parking space is full. People arre out enjoying this glorious day. Tate Street is a great place to get a quick bite to eat between classes, grab a cup of coffee, listen to music, and study into the wee hours.
Imagine how lovely this view would be without that ugly pole chopping the photo in half! Real life is like that, though; poles and wires obstruct our view all the time. We gotta focus on the beauty and not the obstructions. After all, it is as if those poles frame the leaves and punctuate their transition from red to orange to yellow to green.
Ah Tate Street--a special place indeed for college students and professors through the years. I still miss the chicken salad sandwiches at "The Corner." JTM

Looks like artist's palette - the colors blend like a rainbow - from purple-green to orange-red. Very beautiful!

What a great shot of Tate Street AKA "The Corner." In your shot you can see thee infamous "Red Door," THE den of SIN of the 60s.

Well I see MY favorite place, Tate Street Coffee House (which I've featured several times on my own blog). Looks like you might have taken this from that ginormous church on Spring Garden, right?
