Meet Trick and Treat! They're staying inside this Halloween and waiting patiently by the window to see who will stop by. Time to stir some witches brew and get the candy ready for the little ones.
Halloween on a Saturday is good for teachers as students don't come to school the next day with excessive sugar in their bloodstream. Unfortunately, weekend Halloweens allow more time for tricking. Keep your house well lit. Drive safely and watch for pedestrians! What was your favorite costume this year? What is your favorite Halloween candy? Which neighborhoods have the most festive houses?
Our favorite Halloween memory is the scene in To Kill a Mockingbird where Scout is traipsing through the woods in her Halloween costume. Another is visiting the NC Zoo's "Boo at the Zoo." Another is the Ghost Train at Tweetsie Railroad; finally, there is the "Zoo Boo Bash" at Greensboro's Natural Science Center!
Today, we are participating in Camera Critters-- the home of adorable animal photos!
Well, this is a neat photo. Very well done -- the cats makes the picture. I li

I often feel like saying "Bah, humbug" on Halloween, but these charming critters sitting in the window on Halloween morning set the stage nicely for what the evening may bring. Glad you mentioned the scene in "To Kill a Mockingbird"--one of my favorite books and movies of all time. JTM

I love your photo. We have a little black kitten named Sly, who's definitely staying indoors today, too! Wish I could get him to hold still long enough to dress him up! :-)
Thanks for stopping by the #GreatHallowTweet Blog Hop!

Great composition with the two cat silhouettes.
The colors and the back light increase the mystery.
Thanks for your visit.

Lois Anne and I were both teachers so we know all about that candy high the day after Halloween...plus all the candy wrappers in the classroom and hallways...our youngest daughter teaches, too, and she's very happy Halloween is on Saturday this year!
Cute cats. They're probably having a busy night.

Awesome photo, perfect for Halloween.
Not that many kids where I live, so we don't get many trick or treaters. When I'm at my place, we usually have a big bowl with live roaches (which I breed for my bearded dragon and mice) and put the candy among them. The kids love it and many ask if they can have a roach to take home.
To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my favourite books! The Halloween scene is so funny and creepy asnd scary.

Cool photo of your kitties, very spooky. We did a "Zoo Boo" at our local zoo this year, lots of fun. I love taking my daughter out trick-or-treating each year brings such changes in her interests and participation.

I so love this photo, the two kitties are adorable. My cat also sat by the window watching and waiting for the goblins to go away, she does not care for noise and strange creatures.
We had a great Halloween with lots of children at the door, hope yours was fun as well.

Greetings from Australia.
Lovely photo - very appropriate them being cats and all. Witches do have cats! I remember the scene with Scout - one of my fav films. Gregory Peck was outstanding as always.
Thanks for visiting my blog and your comments. Re your question about bathing boxes. I always reply to comments on the comment form, but will do so here as well.
The Brighton bathing boxes are owned and cost around $250,000, and only residents of Bayside City Council can buy them. There's also a $500 rates fee per annum. Public access may be gained to the boxes, consistent with the annual licence - you'd need to contact the Brighton Bathing Boxes Association. I did a post about them in September - you'll find it under "Icons and Landmarks."
Hope this helps.
Cheers.

Great Halloween post. I liked that Halloween scene in To Kill A Mockingbird, too. However, I think that my favorite is the Halloween scene from Meet Me In St. Louis where Tootie is trying to play with the big kids and they give her an extra "scary" assignment.
