Sailboating on Belews Lake is a load of fun-- and work! The area surrounding the nearly 4,000-acre Belews Lake has experienced a tremendous surge of construction in the last few years. Just a 30 minute drive from Greensboro, Belews Lake is Duke Energy's gift to aficionados of water sports. This photo is our contribution to Watery Wednesday .
The lake looks like a peaceful place to sail. I wonder if it gets real windy at times...Nice shot!

Sailing looks very complicated to me. Brave people! Fascinating to watch. I go just to pedal boats in a tiny lake - that is my limit :)
I had no plan to post water this week, but read your comment on my Mom's blog. So I did a quick search in the folders and found a perfect watery post from our visit to NC Zoo in Asheboro. Thank you for inspiring me!

This and your Labor Day post makes me sad that summer is almost over. But, I'll get over it as soon as the leaves start to change colors. Great photos, as usual.

And all this time, I assumed power companies scarred the land and nuked the whales.

Looks like a great place to get rid of the Belews! Also I liked your airport shot a lot. It really captures a lonely quiet moment. I only new of Elon from doing crossword puzzles years ago.
