Happy Labor Day!. Today, we have one last hurrah with family and friends, our white shoes get put away, community pools are open for one last day, and children ponder school resuming tomorrow. Perhaps more than anything else, Labor Day reminds us that fall is upon us. We hope you are having a restful Labor Day.
In the photo above, we see a young man sitting in Greensboro's Piedmont Triad International Airport waiting for his flight. We don't know if he was leaving home or returning; however, he captures that pensive look of moving on, just as Labor Day captures the transition from summer to fall.
This is our contribution to Monochrome Weekly.
Coming or going, it's always good to be at an airport (at least for those of us who have "terminal sickness"). :)
I had forgotten just how much transition Labor Day represents. Thanks for the reminder.

I always hated Labor Day as a child. The day that dreams ended and reality began.

Labor day came fast this year it seems. I do hope the weather doesn't decide summer is over quite yet.

Rather than causing me to think about Labor Day, this photo leads me back to thoughts of the current recession. The lone passenger makes the airport look dismal and un-busy which is not a good thing for our airport or our city. JTM
