The Biltmore Hotel, located at 111 W. Washington St., was built in 1895. According to their website, they offer free continental breakfast in the morning and a wine and cheese reception in the evening, in addition to standard amenities like free Internet access, fitness center, and a free newspaper. If the air conditioning or heating system ever go out in our house, I think we'll pack up and head down to the Biltmore! Maybe we'll go their anyway for the fun of it!
Our readers from other states in the USA and beyond may not realize that this hotel is not related to another great NC destination, the Biltmore Estate.
The rooms aren't really my style but what a lovely building!

I totally expected to see an antique car or two parked outside. I notice on the comments "the rooms aren't really my style"...

Lovely place and picture!
I think, I've read about it in a book a short while back.
That name rings a bell :)

GDB,
This photo is from the era I plan to model on my O-Gauge railroad when I'm too old to do other stuff. Any further buildings with this architecture or other views of this building would be appreciated. 8~)
