MOM is a series of 3' plywood letters prominently displayed across the street from the entrance to the Starmount Country Club at the corner of North Holden Road and Starmount Drive. We've deleted the color to participate in the Monochrome meme. However, imagine the visual impact of Pepto-Bismol pink, plywood letters and red, wooden flowers as you were traveling to or from church, lunch, or a family visit on Mother's Day. Yard Art is a passion for many North Carolinians and is especially loved by the owners of this property on Holden. They change their yard art to match the holiday "du jour." We hope Mother's Day was everything you/they hoped it would be.
Pretty stunning in B&W so the colour version might require shades.

How perfect right around mother's day and I like it so much in monochrome. I can see how it would really jump out in color but the black and white version is so striking too!

To honor Mothers in large !
You can't tell that you've forgotten Mother's day living there.
That's a great idea. Very creative, they must have a lot of imagination to find something new on every special occasion.

You are very diplomatic . . . pepto-abysmal pink??? Bring on the flamingoes. I am so glad you desaturated this one . . . great catch and interesting commentary.

excellent eye to catch this for Mother's Day! Thanks for your comment on my site. I am glad you like the Chihuly. I will have a nightscape series during the next week. I really enjoyed your tape art photo. So interesting. I have never heard or seen this type of work.

I like this in B&W, but from your description I don't think I'd like the coloured one much. It's a fun idea.
