Nice name for an avenue. But I guess the street is so called because of Fred W. Friendly. Is that right?

Happy 201st birthday. Please come to New Bern next year and visit us for our 300th!

I'm sure GDP will respond later about the name of Friendly Avenue. It actually comes from The Society of Friends (Quakers) which has a long history in Guilford County. Actually, Guilford College is an affiliated Quaker institution.JTM

I love the way all those places are called Friendly. Hope it's a friendly place indeed.

Lol! :-)I'm naïve, huh?! I agree on your photographer's perspective, I like the name of the street (who wouldn't?)but hey, where are all the people? Are you like me always trying DESPERATELY to avoid people in my photos?

Jacob

Nice shot of your downtown...I'm glad that it is a friendly place as I may want to visit sometime...
