Today, we're at 330 South Greene Street at the Cone Export & Commission Company. The building was built in the 1920's in the Elizabethian Revival Style. Formerly, it was a commodity exchange and housed the execuitve offices for Cone Export. The closeup photo shows the detail of how the stone façade was pieced together as well as the elaborate font on the raised lettering. Currently, the building houses the Cemala Foundation. Previously, we have posted interior photos here and here.
Greensboro has many vintage building with exterior details intact. If you are in town and have time this weekend, walk around and enjoy the details.
